How to Pick a Protein Bar

Two things matter more than the protein number on the front. First, check the sugar alcohols. Bars loaded with maltitol cause GI issues for a lot of people, and you will find out the hard way. Second, look at the protein source. Whey isolate and milk protein isolate bars tend to eat softer than collagen-heavy ones, which is usually why a bar tastes like cardboard. Our staff can tell you which bars in this section people actually come back for.

    A Note on Energy Drinks

Caffeine content across this category ranges from about 100mg to 300mg per can. If you already run a pre-workout, watch your daily total. Most healthy adults should stay under roughly 400mg per day from all sources combined, and it adds up faster than people expect.
